How To trigger settings sync in vscode

I got a new laptop and noticed that when I was switching back and forth between the old and new one, my settings sync apparently was not working.

It turns out that I was getting signed out from github periodically, and in order for settings sync to work, you have to log back into your IDE.

After doing the login again, I was given the option to merge settings from local or remote - chose remote, got everything working again.
